Update on Slap City Pre-Order Start Date and Tariffs on Shipments Bound to the United States
Dear customer,
We would like to inform you of three updates today about Slap City, the current triple set, and tariffs on shipments bound to the United States.
A) Slap City physical edition pre-order start date
After discussions with Slap City developer Ludosity, we have decided to start pre-orders for the Slap City physical edition in June – July 2027. The game will launch and ship in the same period.
We are working hard to resolve all issues that are preventing the game from passing lotcheck. This window should give us more than enough time to ensure that the title meets the Nintendo guidelines.
We understand that it will be quite some time before we can share more news with you about Slap City, and we know that you have been patiently waiting. We greatly and truly appreciate your patience and understanding.
Please stay tuned for more information on the Slap City physical edition in June – July 2027.
B) In Other Waters, Sky Racket, Slap City Triple Set shipping date
Pre-orders for the triple set containing In Other Waters, Sky Racket, and Slap City will ship in June – July 2027, in line with the pre-order and launch window for the standalone copy of Slap City.
Don’t forget that In Other Waters and Sky Racket are also available for purchase separately (ready to ship) on our official website.
We greatly appreciate your patience and deeply apologize for the long wait.
C) Regarding tariffs on shipments bound to the United States
Postal services around the world have started collecting tariffs on behalf of the United States government at the point of shipment.
We will be introducing a system at checkout to collect the tariff from customers based in the United States sometime between now and June – July 2027. The exact date is yet to be determined.
We will not retroactively collect tariffs from customers that have pre-ordered or purchased products prior to the introduction of the tariff collection system at checkout.
Please note that we have no plans to collect import taxes/tariffs for shipments bound to other countries and regions, so they will continue to be the customer’s responsibility once their order is cleared by the customs authority.
We will keep a close eye on changes to the tariff policy of the United States government and make adjustments accordingly.
We will greatly appreciate your understanding on this matter.
FAQ:
Q1) Why is Slap City releasing in June – July 2027?
The June – July 2027 launch window was determined after reviewing the current lotcheck issues and other matters in a complete and thorough discussion with Ludosity, while also taking into account other factors that would affect its launch date. Instead of giving a vague “2027” or “coming soon” pre-order and launch window, we felt it would be best to set a 2-month period that we can meet to set the correct expectations, while also giving some wiggle room just in case more issues arise from the Nintendo guidelines.
Q2) Why aren’t Slap City pre-orders starting now?
In line with our previous releases, we will only start pre-orders for the standalone copy of Slap City after the games are in hand (ready to ship at our warehouse). We want to ensure we are setting expectations correctly, and taking pre-orders many months in advance would go against that.
